It is with a heavy heart that we write this letter to inform you of an illness among one of our own. Senior football player and track athlete, Brysen Holden, was just diagnosed with Leukemia. As you all know, Brysen, committed to play college football this fall at New Mexico Military Institute and Brysen has been a part of our Eagle family for many years. The family and Brysen are shocked by his diagnosis and are awaiting many tests and answers for his specific diagnosis and treatment options.
Currently, Brysen is in ICU, he is fighting hard and is in good spirits. His family is able to alternate visiting with him as they are only allowing one of them at a time to be with Brysen.
We have reached out to Brysen’s mom and told her of our desire to support their family and Brysen during this time with whatever they need and she and the family will gladly accept whatever help we can give. The coaches already put together a 10-minute video with words of encouragement and love for Brysen. His mom expressed how much this meant to Brysen and the family. Now it is our turn to pull together as Eagle Nation and pour our love and support on this young man and his family as they enter this battle. Here are some ideas we plan to take on to support Brysen’s family during this time. Cyndee Bonacci will help coordinate these ideas, so please reach out to her if you would like to help with any of the ideas listed below.
Gas Cards/Gift Cards – These would help with travel expenses as they commute back and forth to the hospital. These can be mailed to the family at the address below. Any amount is appreciated.
A Go Fund Me Page – Fund for anyone to contribute to that will offset their medical expenses for Brysen’s treatment.
Purchasing Groceries (once per week) – We would set up a sign-up sheet for families to purchase groceries each week and deliver them to their address listed below. If you would like to manage the sign-up sheet for purchasing groceries, please let Cyndee know.
Meals –Below is the Sign up Genius link for meal support for The Holden Family. We appreciate your consideration and support!! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4DA9AD2BA4F58-holden

Cards/Gifts/Videos for Brysen – Brysen is an 18-year-old Senior with his whole life ahead of him. We want him to receive encouragement to lift his spirits and remind him he has a lot to look forward to and not get bogged down with this illness. We will put together a list of Brysen’s favorite things and families can choose items they would like to purchase or contribute to for Brysen – kind of like a wish list. If you would like to coordinate Brysen’s wish list, please let Cyndee know.
Prayer – This is a given but please add Brysen and his family to your prayer list and pass his name along for prayer at any churches you are familiar with. His mom has said what a comfort it is to know that so many are praying for Brysen.
As we all come together in support of Brysen, and the Holden Family, an effective way to keep our hearts and minds at peace during this challenging time is through prayer. Please join a nightly call during Brysen's treatment so that we can collectively join our faith for his healing, and restoration.
Prayer will begin promptly at 9 pm.
Dial: 712-451-0267 Access code: 959430
This is a voluntary opportunity to sacrifice 5 minutes to request Blessings for Brysen.
Orange Ribbons – Leukemia is recognized by orange ribbons. Some of our players have already created a logo with an orange ribbon that reads “Brysen Strong”. If anyone would like to take on putting ribbons up or using the ribbons to create awareness for Brysen’s diagnosis, please let Cyndee know your thoughts.
We also had volunteers step up to do the yard work for the family once per week, so this is covered.
If anyone has any other ideas, please let us know. Our main goal is to take away any extra burdens for this family so they can just focus on Brysen and getting him through this fight. Thank you all in advance for being willing to love and support this family! Eagle Nation is the BEST!

With an extremely “altered” fundraising season facing our Eagle Football Nation due to the corona virus we are partnering with Kroger who has offered us a simple and free way to support our program. Even in these financially uncertain times everyone can participate and all while sitting at home socially distancing!
Introducing the Kroger Community Rewards Program…
The Kroger Community Rewards program makes fundraising easy and is based on the shopping you do every day. Simply link your Kroger Plus Card to our organization and go shopping at any Kroger nationwide! Enter or swipe your Kroger Plus Card at checkout like you normally would. It’s that easy!
Here’s how it works:
1. Create a digital account. (Pause the TV! It takes literally 2 minutes)
A digital account is needed to participate in Kroger Community Rewards. If you already have a digital account, simply link your Kroger Plus Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose.
2. Link your Card to our organization.
Selecting the organization that you wish to support is as simple as updating the Kroger Community Rewards selection on your digital account.
1. Sign in to your digital account.
2. Search for your organization at https://www.kroger.com/signin?redirectUrl=/account/communityrewards/
3. Enter either Collins Hill Touchdown Club or our NPO number: BD414.
4. Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save”.
Your selected organization will also display in the Kroger Community Rewards section of your account. If you need to review or revisit your organization, you can always do so under your Account details.
3. Our Team Earns.
Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you! Kroger donates quarterly to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending. So c’mon Eagle Nation! Tell ALL your friends and family that shop at ANY Kroger to join with us and support our family!
CHHS Football Spirit Night at Taziki’s
Attention CHHS Football Community. Mark your calendar on May 6, 2020 for this year’s first CHHS Football Spirit Night of the 2020 Football Season. It will take place at Taziki’s Mediterranean Café located at 1095 Old Peachtree Road, Suite 104, Suwanee, GA 30024.
Of course this will be a different type of Spirit Night, since we will not be able to gather together as a group to eat and socialize, Taziki’s has asked us to promote and hype this night to all of our friends and family to call and order carry out between the hours of 4-7pm on May 6th. In return, they will return 15% of all sales from any and all customers during that time, back to the Football team.
So, let’s tell all of our friends and family to order take out at Taziki’s on May 6th.
Thank you and GO EAGLES!!!!!

Collins Hill High School has made the decision to move forward with the implementation of the Clear Bag Policy for this School Year for all sports starting this Fall.
The implementation will begin in September.
The High School will offer bags for sell through athletics for $10 with logo, they will have some in the beginning for $5 without a logo so that they can get them in before the first of September.
This week is our Cancer Awareness Game, and our team will be honoring one of our Moms who lost her life to cancer a few months ago. The Anderson Family has meant so much to Collins Hill. We are blessed to have them as part of our Eagle family. This year, our boys play for Mrs. Shirley. She is our "why". The players will be wearing this logo on their helmets in her memory.
