Family: (Wife) Adriana Swick, (Daughter) Benett Harper Swick
Graduated from Collins Hill in 2008. Voted Senior Captain by teammates and finished up with Second Team All Gwinnett County Honors. After high school received a scholarship to play at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. Played both Defensive Back and Outside Linebacker while attending PC from 2008-2012. Received his degree in history and went on to finish out his education degree at Georgia Gwinnett College, where he graduated from college in 2015. In 2015, came back to Collins Hill to coach Defensive Backs and Wide Receivers for the 9th grade team. In 2016, hired as the Safeties coach for the Varsity football team at Collins Hill. From 2017-2019, moved positions and began coaching OLB's (Stars). In 2020, was hired as the Defensive Coordinator and helped lead the Eagles to a Region Championship and the program's first State Championship appearance in school history. In 2021, the Eagle's won back-to-back Region Championships and won their first 7A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. In 2023 became Collins Hills 6th head coach in the program's history!

Running Backs Coach
Coach Koerner, originally from Westfield, New York, is entering
his 22 nd year as a high school teacher and coach. He is happily
married to his wonderful wife, Ellen and they have three children,
Brendan, Grayson, and Addison. Prior to beginning his teaching
career, Coach Koerner worked for a financial firm in Pittsburgh,
PA and served over 4 years in the United States Army at Fort
Benning, GA. Coach Koerner started teaching and coaching at
Newton High School in Covington, GA. During his 5 years at
Newton, he served as the 9 th grade head football coach for 3
years, an assistant baseball coach for 5 years, and a 9 th grade
head basketball coach for a year. After his time at Newton High,
he spent 3 years at Putnam County High School in Eatonton, GA.
During his 3 years at Putnam he served as the varsity head
baseball coach and a varsity assistant football coach. Coach
Koerner got the opportunity to join the Collins Hill staff in 2010
and will be entering his 14th year as an assistant football coach.
He also has been an assistant baseball coach for 13 years.
Coach Koerner has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics
from Clarkson University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching in
Secondary Education from Piedmont University.

Family: Wife – Tracy (5th Grade Teacher at McKendree Elementary), Daughters – Baylee-29 (Registered Nurse), Keeley-24 (Math Teacher/Cheer Coach/Soccer Coach at Collins Hill), Son – Brevin-22 (Math/Education Teacher at UT-Chattanooga), Granddaughter – Ellie Carkuff-22 months

Athletic Career: Played QB/DB and punter in high school, played DB at the University of the South
Coaching Career: Collins Hill High School (2019-present) - Coach Special Teams, Wide Receivers, and Secondary. 2020 7A runner up, 2021 7A State Champs. Oakland High School (Tn) (2004-2018) - Coached QBs, WRs, and DBs. Won the Tennessee 5A state championship in 2008, 6A state runner-up in 2016, and won the 6A state championship in 2018 with my son, Brevin, at QB. Also served as the Head Freshman Coach/Offensive Coordinator (2012-2018), accumulating a 45-11 record with 4 Bowl Game victories.
Coach Gerald “Boo” Mitchell began his football career at the age of four in Valdosta, GA at Moody Air Force Base. He went on to play for the Tigers of Hahira Jr. High School before becoming a Plowboy for Lowndes (County) High School (LHS).
At LHS, “Boo” Mitchell would play Quarterback, Receiver, Punter, Kick Returner, and Punt Returner during his career. He would graduate with honors from LHS, and he would choose Vanderbilt University as the school in which he would further his education.
At Vanderbilt University, “Boo” Mitchell would have a stellar career where he would receive honors such as Freshman All-SEC, First Team All-SEC, SEC Offensive Player of the Week (2), and Second Team All-America en route to breaking the All-time SEC record for career yardage.
“Boo” would go on to be selected as a Free Agent with the Seattle Seahawks where his career was ended due to a shoulder injury during his first season.
Coach Mitchell is now in his 24th season as a High School football coach with all but 1 year being in Gwinnett County. He has also won a Professional Arena Football Championship as a Head Coach with the Atlanta Havoc, and he is the President of the Gwinnett Football League.
Coach Mitchell has three children (“BJ”, Sydney, and Liam) and one granddaughter (Amelyn).

Coaching Experience: Entering Third year with the Collins Hill High 2021 7A State Champion Football Staff. Coached at the youth level for 12yrs (all in the Collins Hill Community). Team won the Gwinnett County Football Championship 2019. Head 9th Grade Coach in 2021 Assistant Varsity Inside Linebacker Coach. The 9th Grade Team had a perfect 7-0 record. Named the 2021 Tally Johnson Assistant Coach Of The Year by the Gwinnett County Touchdown Club. Varsity Outside Linebacker Coach and assistant JV coach 2022.
Coach Beverly is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a graduate of Samford University where he was a 2 year letter-winner in football. Coach Beverly is entering his 17th year as an educator and coach at the high school level. The majority of his career has been spent in his home state of Alabama, with other stints in Kentucky and the Cincinnati Area. Over the course of his career, Coach Beverly has served in a number of positions including Offensive Coordinator, Offensive Line, and Head Coach.
Coach Beverly is the proud father of Aubrey (8) and Isaiah (6).
Offensive Line Coach
Brian Na was a former player at Collins Hill high school. Brian graduated high school in 2019 and is now an industrial engineering student at Kennesaw State University. The 2021 - 2022 season was Brian’s first year of coaching. This upcoming 2022 -2023 season will be his 2nd year coaching the offensive line.
Corners Coach
I am married to Mitoya Fountain. We have a 11 year old daughter named Peyton Fountain. I am originally from Perkinston, Mississippi. I played at Savannah State College. I've been coaching football for 20 years. I spent 2 years of my coaching in the Buford community and the other 18 have been in the Collins Hill community. I've been chosen to coach for FBU (Football University) for the last 7 years. We went to the national
championship 5 times and won the national championship 3 years. I have been coaching at Collins Hill high school for 8 years.
Varsity Kickers & Punters Coach
Tim Tanguay is entering his fourth season coaching the Eagles Kickers and Punters. Tim is originally from
Hollywood Florida and attended Chaminade High school. While at Chaminade, he earned a scholarship
to play for Furman University under Coach Dick Sheridan. While at Furman, he was a 3-year starter at
Placekicker (1980-81-82), a two-time First Team All-Southern Conference selection, a two-time
Honorable Mention All-America performer, and First Team Street & Smith’s All-ACC Region selection.
Tim has worked with numerous high school kickers over the years, many whom have advanced to the
collegiate level.
Tim has recently retired from a career in corporate finance where he served as Chief Financial Officer for
Orangetheory Fitness, in Boca Raton Florida. In addition to coaching, he also provides financial
consulting to the fitness and restaurant industry, and serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at Georgia
Gwinnett College teaching Corporate Finance. He earned his BA from Furman University, and holds an
MBA in Finance from Georgia State University. Tim and his wife, Carla, reside in Suwanee and have two
children, Katelyn, and Craig. Both children attended Collins Hill High School. Craig was a 3-year letter
winner and the Eagles starting placekicker, and Katelyn was a 4-year letter winner in competition cheer.
